TRAFFIC ADVISORY / BLASTING NOTICE
Temporary Stop/Go Road Closures on the R52, Koster to N4 Rustenburg, North West Province
The South African National Roads Agency SOC Limited (SANRAL) wishes to inform road users of the temporary Stop and Go road closures, due to Blasting on National Road R52, from Koster to N4 Rustenburg, North West Province. The closures are necessary to facilitate the road improvement works.
The details of the closure are as follows:
- Date: 10 March 2025
- Location: km 14.1, km 21.8 & km 29.2
- Time: Between 07:00 and 17:00
- Duration: Stop/Go traffic management will be in operation, leading to potential delays of up to 30 minutes during peak hours.
- Closure Lengths: The closure lengths may vary but should not exceed 5 km unless required for safety reasons.
“SANRAL advises motorists to plan their trips accordingly and we appreciate your patience and cooperation during these essential road upgrades. Motorists are requested to please adhere to the traffic accommodation signage and the flag persons advanced warnings when applicable. It is not only for your own safety but also for the persons working at the closures and the construction workers within the work zones,” said Mirriam Mosia, SANRAL’s Provincial Head for the North West.
