TRAFFIC ADVISORY
Pavement Layer Repairs on the N1 Section 20 Northbound at km 41.0 – km 50.0
Pretoria, 10 July 2025 – The South African National Roads Agency SOC Limited (SANRAL) would like to notify road users that pavement layer repair works will be done on the N1national road section 20 at km 41.0 – km 50.0. The repairs will require the shifting of traffic on the Northbound carriageway (from Winnie Mandela Interchange to Buccleuch Interchange) from three slow lanes to two fast lanes. The traffic shift is currently planned to occur from 9am to 3pm on the 12th of July 2025 to the 24th of July 2025.
Alternative routes that can be taken include the Winnie Mandela Interchange / R511 as shown on the next page.
SANRAL urges road users to:
•Plan their trips accordingly.
•Adhere to the traffic accommodation signage and the flag persons advanced warnings, and
•Exercise patience and caution while navigating the affected area.
