N2 Highway Reopened After Debris Clearance In Gqeberha
Gqeberha, 23 August 2024 – The South African National Roads Agency SOC Limited (SANRAL) wishes to inform road users that the N2 highway between John Tallant and Settlers Way in Gqeberha, which was temporarily closed due to debris from the sea, is now open to traffic. The rock debris have been successfully cleared by a roads maintenance team overnight.
Traffic officials had to divert traffic via John Tallant Road at Deal Party. Motorists are advised to drive with caution and to obey traffic officials on the scene should they decide to close the section alongside the dolosse.
SANRAL will continue to monitor the section at high tide and work with traffic officials to ensure motorists drive under safe conditions.
“We appreciate the public’s cooperation during the road closure and urge everyone to continue exercising caution while driving,” said Mbulelo Peterson, Regional Manager for SANRAL’s Southern Region.
