Gantry overhead replacement on the N1 Section 20 Southbound at km 46.0 – km 47.0
Gauteng, 26 June 2025 – The South African National Roads Agency SOC Limited (SANRAL) would like to notify travellers that an overhead sign replacement will be done on the N1 national road section 20 at km 46.0 – km 47.0. The replacement will require the shifting of traffic on the Southbound carriageway (from Buccleuch Interchange to Rivonia Interchange) from the four lanes to the fast lane. The traffic shift is planned for the 1st of July 2025 from 9am to 3pm.
Alternative routes that can be taken include the M1 Southbound/N3-12 as shown on the next page.
SANRAL urges road users to:
- Plan their trips accordingly.
- Adhere to the traffic accommodation signage and the flag persons advanced warnings, and
- Exercise patience and caution while navigating the affected area.
