TRAFFIC ADVISORY
EMERGENCY SLOPE REPAIRS ON THE N2 NATIONAL ROAD, SECTION 19 (KM 57.4) NEAR PORT ST JOHNS
Eastern Cape, 6 August 2025: The South African National Roads Agency SOC Limited (SANRAL) would like to notify road users that traffic has been diverted onto the reconstructed section of the N2 Section 19 between km 57.5 and km 57.8 near Port St Johns. The restriction regarding the heavy loads not being permitted along this section, is also lifted.
Traffic accommodation along this section of the road will be operated with a 24hr stop/go closure in place until the end of October 2025, whereafter it will be opened to normal traffic flow.
“Motorists are requested to obey the traffic signs that are in place and to use caution when making use of the roads,” said Mbulelo Peterson, SANRAL Eastern Cape Provincial Head.
