TRAFFIC ADVISORY / CLOSURE NOTICE
CONTRACT SANRAL N.017-020-2018/1R: Temporary Lane Closures on N17-2 Mill and
Replace of Surfacing, Gauteng Province
Gauteng, 07 February 2026 – The South African National Roads Agency (SANRAL) wishes to inform road users of planned traffic disruptions on the N17 Section 2, east and westbound between Rand Airport Interchange and Tonk Meter interchanges. The planned closures are due to the mill and replace of the road asphalt surfacing, and structural concrete repairs at the toll plaza.
The details of the closure are as follows:
NB: There will be temporary 24-hour closures of the abnormal vehicle lanes at Dalpark and Gosforth toll plazas while concrete repairs are being done.
SANRAL urges all road users to:
- Plan their trips accordingly.
- Adhere to the traffic accommodation signage and the flag persons advanced warnings, and
- Exercise patience and caution while navigating the affected area.
SANRAL apologises for any inconvenience caused and the roads agency remains committed to improving the safety and quality of our national roads.
