TRAFFIC ADVISORY / BLASTING NOTICE
CONTRACT NRA N.002-340-2015/2R: Temporary Road Closure on N2 Section 34 Between
Leiden and Camden, Mpumalanga Province
Mpumalanga, 18 November 2025 – The South African National Roads Agency SOC Limited (SANRAL) wishes to inform road users of the temporary Stop/Go Road closures due to blasting on the N2 National Road, Section 34, from Leiden (km 59.0) to Camden (km 87.4). These closures are necessary to facilitate the road improvement works and are in place only during the day as indicated below.
Closure Details:
- Date: 20 November 2025
- Location: km 65.220 – km 65.700
- Time: Between 14:00 and 15:00
- Duration: Traffic will be halted, leading to potential delays of up to 60 minutes during peak hours.
- Closure Lengths: Traffic will be closed 500m from the location of where the blast will take place.
SANRAL advises road users to plan their travel accordingly, adhere to the traffic accommodation signage and the flag persons advanced warnings. It is not only for your own safety but also for the safety of the construction personnel on site as well.
